Manufacturers of plastic products generally prepare one or two crushers for online recycling of defective products or scraps, but the crusher inevitably needs maintenance during use, such as how to disassemble the bearing for maintenance, let’s take a look at how to disassemble the plastic crusher bearing.

Before replacing the bearing, remove the damaged bearing, collect and retain the used lubricant, keep the damaged bearing, and record the abnormal event during operation.
To remove the bearing, first remove the outer shell, take off the spindle, fold the ball bearing with a horse, and then replace the new ball bearing, then put the copper pipe on the shaft, hit the copper pipe with a hammer until the new bearing is installed in place, and finally tighten the pin and change the number bearing.
The replacement bearings listed above are simple crushers, there are many types of crushers, different types of crushers, replacement and dismantling methods are slightly different, it is best to follow the crusher manual, or consult the manufacturer to dismantle and replace the method, do not dismantle it by yourself, otherwise it is likely that it can not be assembled back.
Crusher due to the working environment, the damage rate of parts will be relatively large, when changing the crusher parts, pay attention to protect the shaft head from being destroyed, before disassembly can make a 40mm thick sleeve on the shaft head, protect the shaft head by the flywheel hit the eccentric shaft and damaged.
At the same time, when hitting the eccentric shaft with a heavy object, the flywheel centerline should be kept in a straight line with the eccentric centerline. The position of the impact bearing should also be selected appropriately.

Great step-by-step guide! I’ve been struggling with my crusher maintenance and this really helps. 👍
Would WD-40 work as a lubricant for these bearings? Asking for a friend who’s trying this tomorrow.
@Auroral Muse:wd-40? nope, grab proper lithium grease unless you like replacing bearings every two weeks
Pro tip: Mark the bearing position with chalk before disassembly. Saved me tons of reassembly time!
“Make a 40mm thick sleeve” – that’s the real MVP advice right there. Shaft protection is everything.
@HappyHoney:I cut a PVC pipe as a sleeve – cheap, fast, works like a charm
Lol tried this last week and ended up with extra parts… maybe should’ve read the manual first 🤦♂️
As a newbie in plastic recycling, this article is gold! Any recommendations for affordable bearing brands?
The alignment tip is clutch! Had to learn that the hard way after ruining two shafts.
Why does this sound easier than it actually is? Spent 3 hours yesterday just getting the outer shell off.
Anyone know how often we should actually be doing this maintenance? Monthly? Quarterly?
Our plant manager makes us document EVERY bearing replacement. Glad to see it’s actually standard practice.
That sleeve trick just saved my shaft from going full banana shape. Bless the writer! 🙏
